About Katakana Town-M

Here's a new, exciting app to learn "katakana" words.
Katakana Town-M is designed for learning "katakana" naturally and easily using a game format. The "cute" graphic characters make this app visually appealing and stimulating for the brain. It comes with several basic words with images and sound files recorded by a native speaker. Katakana Town-M does not require a network connection so "katakana" can be studied anywhere at any time.

Q: How do I install it?

A: “Katakana Town-M” is more than 20 MB in size, so you will see a dialog box recommending you download it using wifi. Once you have a wifi connection the download will begin.
*Please note that downloading the app will incur a separate communications charge.

If the install process is interrupted and you are unable to re-install nor delete the program please try the following:

→Turn off the iPhone/iPod touch and restart it. Then delete the app and re-install it from the AppStore.

Q: The app will not start. It quits unexpectedly.

A: There is a chance that there is not enough memory available. Please try restarting the iPhone/iPod touch.

→To restart the iPhone/iPod touch:
Press and hold the power button, then release it and move the slider that appears on the screen to turn the device off. Press and hold the power button until the device begins to start up.

Q: There is no sound.

A: Please check the following points:
•iPhone/iPod touch volume level
•Settings inside the app: under OPTIONS, make sure the MUSIC slider is set to ON.

Q: I want to delete the progress data.

A: Follow these steps to delete the progress data from the OPTIONS screen inside the app:

→Tap the [RESTART] button and then tap YES in the dialog box that appears. The screen will show “Deleted” when the data has been cleared.
*Once the progress data has been cleared it cannot be restored.
In addition, please note that deleting the Katakana Town-M app from your iPhone or iPod touch will also remove the progress data.

Q: Is it free to update the app?

A: Yes. Updates are free.

Q: If I have already downloaded the app from the Mac App Store, can I re-download it for free?

A: Yes. You can re-download apps from the Mac App Store as long as the app remains available. You may be asked to enter the Apple ID and password you initially used to download the app.
Any add-ons you have purchased can be also be re-downloaded for free.
